All of the translations posted in this site are posted by the translators themselves, with some people helping with the migration/formatting. Some translators do have their own website and cross-posting their chapters there. Here is the list of novels posted ONLY on Chicken Gege:
- Dinghai Fusheng Records
- Seizing Dreams
- Tianbao Fuyao Lu
- Turing's Code
- Yingnu
For our ADs and manhuas, we cross-post everything on YouTube and Mangadex.
SURE YOU CAN!
The main reason we created Chicken Gege is for it to be a hub for international fans for everything related to Fei-ge's stuff. If you want your work(s) to be posted here, please join us on Discord or contact us so we can set up an account for you.
For more information, please refer to this page.
Yup, feel free! We're just a group of fans, same as any of you, and again, this site isn't official, you don't need to ask us for permission to pick up a project since we don't own the source material, only our translations and content.
Also, we're putting them there hoping someone would pick them up after all! If you do take your time to inform us, we'll post the link to your site as well as put it under the "Link" section. Thank you for wanting to give Fei-ge's novels more love!Psst, we'll be glad to have you on our Discord just to chat around!
Website
No. If you see any ads floating around the website, please report them to us; it might be because of the free plugins we used... they sometimes have ads on the backend. Just let us know where and we'll change it.
Chicken Gege has first been made possible with the help of donations from people and it is intended to be an ad-free, non-commercial site for everyone to share Fei-ge's related content. We, however, do need help to cover the hosting fee and maintenance for the years to come.
For more information, please refer to this page.
While the top speed for the highest tier of those plans is not so much different from our current speed, they are shared hostings, which, simply put, means people are sharing resources over one computer. What we're using right now is called managed hosting, that is, we get our own set of tools and performance services, and is free to tweak our site in full; we also get FTP access directly to the server itself.
General info on the difference between the two can be seen here.
Since some features are hard-coded, we need at least one staging website to test new features. Shared hostings don't give direct access to our site's files, and we can only "install" plugins and themes, with the one managing the site's "true" backend is the hosting site.
Also, the renewal price is a lot higher than the initial price, that is why if you see the spreadsheet, it goes from $10/month to $25/month.
If you have any suggestions other than our current SiteGround plan (with cheaper price, FTP, weekly backup, staging, CDN, cache optimizer, SSL, and anti-bot system), feel free to tell us on Discord! It will help us a lot!
